I’m Ashleigh Lauren, an award-winning Australian photographer based in La Spezia, specializing in portrait photography. My mission is simple: to create portraits that tell your story with soul — "Photography with soul" — turning spontaneous moments into timeless images. As a portrait specialist I work with careful, handcrafted attention to offer bespoke sessions. After more than fifteen years behind the camera I’ve developed a style that combines gentle, discreet guidance with a documentary approach: I don’t force unnatural poses, I seek real emotion. The result is clean, elegant images full of personality, ideal for those seeking a professional portrait, an artistic portrait, or an authentic keepsake of their visit to the Cinque Terre. Being based in La Spezia allows me to make the most of Mediterranean light and the characteristic coastal backdrops of the Ligurian shoreline. During the shoot I offer simple, reassuring directions to put even camera-shy people at ease; the atmosphere is always relaxed and personal. Although I specialize in portraits, I also work with families to create genuine group portraits. On request I produce images suited to professional needs — such as corporate headshots, company photos or LinkedIn portraits — while maintaining my visual language: natural and free of artifice.
